WE LIKE TO WORK
"Without music, life would be a mistake." - Friedrich Nietzsche
Douglas Stevens has produced thousands of music tracks for television programs, films, corporate videos, radio, podcasts and the internet. He has access to several exclusive, premier production music libraries, and has developed close working relationships with some of the most sought after musicians, composers and songwriters, including award winning composer, Ed Grenga.
Douglas and Ed were partners in the successful and highly regarded music production company, Handsome Brothers Music Service, Inc. for more than 25 years. They combined their talents producing music for television shows like This Old House, Must Love Cats, Extreme Engineering, Frontline, Nova and Good Life TV, and films like “Meet The Mobsters” and “F**k, The Documentary”. Their commercial clients included HP, Gillette, CNN, Dunkin’ Donuts, The Boston Globe, Millipore, Hasbro, Boston Red Sox, Sheraton, care.com, TJ Maxx, American Red Cross, Volkswagen, Major League Lacrosse, Rockport, IBM and many, many more.
And their music for educational projects and institutions like Harvard University, MIT, Boston University, Maryland Science Center, Boston Museum Of Science, Hayden Planetarium, Boston Children’s Museum and the Nobel Museum in Oslo is heard by millions every year.
Ed has composed songs and music scores for more than a dozen motion pictures and written and produced a Top Ten song for Jeffrey Osborne, songs for Kim Carnes and Buddy Miles, including two gold and two platinum albums for The California Raisins.
Whether you need a :15 second background track for a television or radio commercial or an original score for a documentary, film, or promotional video, you can be assured that Douglas will help you select or produce music that will enhance your message for maximum effect.
Whether you're spending $100.00 or $25,000.00, the same care and commitment is applied to choosing or creating the best music that works for you.
CA&M offers peace of mind.
Douglas will manage and maintain the working relationship between you and the composer and provide expert guidance as you navigate the creative and production process. Now relax and listen to Eddie's amazing demo below.
Below you will find a 14 minute and 56 second sampler of Ed's music.
There are short passages from 32 recordings in a variety of genres and instrumentation.
They function in many different ways-
to celebrate a product or event, heighten an emotion, educate, promote or entertain.
There's a few dark and dramatic movie cuts along with a nice variety of other tempos, colors, and styles.
Most were meant to support a particular scene in a film, documentary, or television program.
I would recommend listening to this music on headphones, or on a good home system, or in your car.
The production is pristine.
I only selected some of the most listenable cuts.
It's like a sonic, musical, audio journey.
So dim the lights, put on some headphones, close your eyes*, and enjoy!
(*CAUTION- not while driving.)
And give me a buzz if you have a special project for me and Ed. 617-666-1200
